Talking torque specs on main bearing caps when changing rear main seal

Hi there
just wonderin how important in torqueing the bolt on the main cap when I change the rear main seal???? I don't have a tourque wrench so is a good snug good enough or not??? an one know the spec for these are??

I'm thinking stock bolts are around 95 lb/ft. The stud kits usually up it to 105~
It needs to be pretty close. If it's too loose, then it might come loose or spin a bearing. Not good either way.

If anything get a cheap pointer style wrench and use it. No need for a $200 click style for just one job like this. Heck for a long time, the pointer syle was all that was available.

The Craftsman click style one is only about $50 isn't it?

I have a 360 in it. I am going to pull it this weekend my first time well the oil has leaked so much on hte clutch it close to done I have a friend at the parts store give me a deal on a new clutch assembly for 150 so i did it. though I do relize i need to get rid of this leak first. hopfully all goes well as I'm going in blindly i may be back

The haynes manual says that the main caps do torque at 95-105 as stated
above, just confiming the info! Do yourself a favor and try to borrow a
torque wrench, you may check auto zone they loan tools!
