transfer case codes

i have a transfer case and i found the code stamped on it and have searched for codes for trans and transfer cases but cannot find it, the code on the transfer case is : C11415 it is on a 78 F-150 4x4

Is there a manufacturer stamp somewhere on it? A circular, metal tag would indicate it's a NP, BW cases I don't think were used then.

The way Bw would read that code
c= March
11= Day of build
4= year of build
1= shift
5 =could be employee number,machine number or?
I realize this is not Borg case this is just an example

so that would mean it is a NP case then, cuz the info didnt line up like you said. thats kinda what i was hopein for

It is a NP 205 gear drive case or a NP 203 fulltime case. Did the front axle have lockout hubs or a cap? If it was a cap, then it was a 203 which is junk as the 205 is almost considered the king for strength.
