You havent said what kind of carb you are talking about, but it sounds like an Autolite 2100 2V. If so, the 292 Autolite came with 1.02 Venturi's. It would work, but I think you should look for an Autolite 2V with 1.14 venturis, or perhaps one with 1.21 venturis. I was lucky and found one with 1.14s on e-bay, new rebuilt for $60.
Stay away from Pony Carbs (the company). They want something like $350 for one of their rebuilt Autolites.
Jets are something you will adjust if required given fuel mixture being too rich or lean.
The 292 version of the Autolite was rated at something like 248 cfm. The Autolite with 1.14 venturis was 300 cfm. The 1.21s 351 cfms. So they are not high performers, but very good and efficient carbs, and very good on low end torque. Some have said they were the best carburetor ever built. Very reliable.
I have installed now a 2100 with 1.02 venturis. It is working very well. Will be installing the 2100 with 1.14s this winter.

Ive no idea what the venturi size is but I put one from a 67 390 on the 351W in my box truck which had one off a 302 and it made a world of difference, especially on hills.
Would that 390 version have the 1.21?

Not sure what size came with the 390, but all the Autolites have the venturi size inside a circle, on the side of the float bowl.

the 390 never got the 2bbl it used the holley 4bbl.

you can look on the side of the carb for the number. i am using a 1.21 on my 390. the rebuild kit is 12.00. so don't pay pony carbs almost 400.00 they are the biggest scam job i have seen in a long time.

390, I have been looking at a chart on the Autozone website. It shows that beginning in 1976, which I think was the debut of the 2150, an Autolite 2V for a 390 motor. I havent been able to find a chart prior to 76, which would deal with the 2100's.

75 was when the 2150 came out. the 390 still came with the 4bbl option that year. only the half ton trucks got the 2bbl carb. 1976 was the last year for the fe series.

Do you know what the vent. sizes vs. engines were for the 2100? The .098 was for the 260's, the 1.02 for the 292's, the 1.14 for the 289/302, and from there the 1.21, 1.23, and 1.33, I dont know.

And do you know anything about the 1.08?
All the 302s we have here in Brazil came from the US or Canada. And all of them had the 1.08.
I have one of those on my 272 and it works extremelly well...

Another question...
What's the difference between the 2100 and the 2150?

Thank you!

Best regards,
Lucas (Lobo)

Lobo, Jared, the Moderator on the carb forum, says that the 1.21 was on the 360's, the 1.23 the 400's, and the 1.33 which was kind of rare on the 370 F-600s.
As for the 1.08, I havent seen them listed here in the states at all, except in the 4100 4V.
It is beginning to seem that the 2100 and 2150 were so similar that people lump them together. I havent been able to find out what improvements were made on the 2150, but also would like to know.

Mighty bad info. The base 390 in cars had a 2bbl 1966-71.
