Heated A/C Seats in 03 Expedition

In my 03 Expedition the drivers seat doesn't respond to the heat / cool quite as quickly or effectively as the pass side. I know the correct fix is to replace the foam, but is there somethign that may make it better? I hear about blowing out the filter? what is involved in that? What can I do short of foam replacement?

Thank you!

Try it without the filter before you spend any time blowing it out. I did not have any luck, but maybe you will. Run the seat all the way forward and up, go in the rear door and you should see the filter. It is around 2"x2", maybe 1/3 of the way forward under the seat. It just snaps in place - grab the sides and squeeze in a little.

My wifes had the same problem... She sheds more than my dog, under the seat was full of hair. Cleaned it out and and it worked fine. Also found a couple of french fires...

Thumbs up seat filters cost

The little filter under the seat is a pricey little heppa filter. The cost is around 40.00 t0 45.00 Canadian if I recall.

Check this also - my 04 expy had the same issue - check the flexible duct running from the fan to the cushions. Mine had cracked 1/3 the way through going to the seat cushion causing poor performance. A little electrical tape later the thing rocked !!! Ford dealer couldn't get me a part number for a replacement.
