Hi, everyone. I have a similar issue with my 95 7.3L PSD. Mine is not happening during the motor is running. It happens at the start. When I start the truck in the morning, about once every 5 times the motor turns over and dies. Is it called “miss-fire”? It will always start fine when I try again. Also, even in the heat of the summer, it almost never starts with a shot turn of the key and roars if you know what I mean. Batteries are less than a year old, connections, cable all look good, all GPs are new and drawing over 100A measured by a DC clamp meter. Any idea? Thanks Erwin

it starts fine, then sometime it cuts out when warming up. sometimes it does not. also when driving it tries tu cut out sometimes at all rpms. what about that cam position sensor? could it be going bad or do they just go bad and that's it

It's a good place to start. Some fail and the truck is dead, others make stuttering sensations and anywhere in between.
