Talking 1969 Ford F100

My wife and I have inherited what she calls "Old Blue" from my father. It is a 1969 F100 with a heavy duty rear axle. We will need to tow Old Blue from Oklahoma to New Mexico...anybody have any ideas where I could get specification information. I am a diesel mechanic by trade so of course my wife thinks the rebuild should be a breeze Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Ford F100

Hi
I am trying to find width/length/and weight. Trying to tow it back from Oklahoma on a regular car hauler trailer. Hoping it will fit okay.
Thanks

I hope you have your own trailer, because Uhaul will tell you it's too big for thiers.

I used a u-haul triler but you can't drive over 45mph. So I guess I didn't help much.

I called uhaul a couple weeks ago to haul a 74 super cab and they said it was to big as was my 67 long bed. (which I know will fit, I used one about a year ago, but I guess they have chaged there standards)

Thanks 67f100 and thesprocket 26. I have a regular car hauler trailer but the width at the wheel wells is what worries me. I'll keep you posted!

If the truck has the 7" wide steelies on it, it should go right up on your average car hauler (the bottom of the doors will sit higher than most trailor fenderwells). U-Haul will not be able to help you. If you don't think it will go on the trailor you have, try to find a place that rents trailors by the day. There's a place here in Tulsa that I rented from for $50 a day (no questions asked), and it had the ramps, and a big cable crank to pull a car on. Hate to see you take another ol Ford out of Oklahoma though

I used my regular car hauler to haul my 66 F100 4x4 with no problem, but I put it on the trailer backwards for better balance of wieght. I hauled it 150 miles at 65 MPH.
