Lightbulb Smoke Stacks

Hey everyone Just wanted to what ya'll think about exhaust stacks. I've seen them on some trucks.
What are the good benefits of putting stacks on a 94 F-350 crew cab 7.3l turbo diesel? or is it not such a good idea.

Thanks,
Bruce

Check out my gallery. I HAD a 95 PSD CC LB and I loved the 5" stacks. Even straightpiped, they were totally undetectable in the cab at speed (although I think the road noise from the tires kind of soaked up the exhaust sound).

Edit:

Sorry about the pics...only two of them BARELY show the stacks. I had taken them off by the time the pics beside the SD were shot......eBay sale.

I have to get more pics in the gallery.

There's not really a benifit to it. It's just the cool factor that I love. Check out my gallery. Cleatus and I have the same style stacks. I really like the sound. But that's just me.

I've got them too. different style, but still just as cool. they do have a really unique sound. and lemmie tell ya....they are cool, and WILL get you noticed. i get asked a lot of they are fake...."nope, lemmie start it, hang on...." pretty cool right now cause the truck needs an oil change and they smoke like the dickins in the mornings.

Since everyone is talking about stacks.. I have a question? Does anyone make a single 4" stack.. I like the look of the stacks but I dont want duals or 5".

Firemanp, you got me curious. Airflo and Berubes doesn't list a 4" stack. Airflo has 4" tips but 12" is the longest I saw. But I'm sure they are out there. If I see some, I will let you know.

IAMFORD, There are several places to get stack kits. But Black Cloud has just about the best kit I've seen. At least from the pics I've seen. But for you guys thinking about stacks. Just do it, you'll be glad you did. Like Red said, you will be noticed.

RubberDuck,

I got bored here at the Engine House last night, so I dug my nose further into the wonderful world of the internet and after surfing almost to the end I found a page listing all the parts I need. "grpipes" No prices listed but for stackes they have about everthing you could want from 4" to 7"....

Thanks,
Pat

Airflowonline . com is supposed to have alot of good stuff. I have never orderd from them but they do have almost everything.

I got my straights on the '97 from a local equipment dealer, $100

the turnouts on the '96 were twice that from Napa. have all the rest done in 3" at a local shop that I pit for during summer race season.

Redstroker6,

Good luck and Congrats on your upcoming Academy Graduation.... Thats cool.. Do you have a job lined up? As for calls, nope...... an unusual day to say the least... If it wasnt for my R/C rockrawler I would have been beating my head on the wall.... instead I was conquering the landscape wall and playing on the internet..
