Has anyone ever changed the pinion bearing and seal in the rear end of a 98' explorer mine is leaking badly I am adding fluid every 3,000 miles and it has now started to vibrate badly. I want to have this done but if I can do it myself I would like too. Please any information is better than none. I have a repair manual and it does not cover this service. Is this something that I should have done at my local repair shop. I think the gear set has to be removed to change the bearing the front seal looks as though it will just pull out. Please help
