Body Bushing Orientation

I am in the finishing process of replacing the body bushings. The bushings themselves were nearly completely rotted away. The cab mount was completely rusted away and the frame had rusted a big enough hole in that area to have what was left of the bushing fall through.

Now that I have all of that damage fixed, I am not sure which was the bushings are suppose to sit on the frame. On one side there is a metal sleeve that sticks up. Since the hole in the cab mount is just big enough for the bolt, I am assuming that this fits against the frame. Is this correct? Is the frame suppose to have a hole big enough so that this metal sleeve slides inside the frame locking it into place, or does it just ride on the frame?

How important are the factory steel sleeves with new poly bushings? Mine are nonexistent.

Thanks for your help.

contact the maker. the top one in your pic goes on top of the frame.

i got body mount hardware off a 2005 450 series ford chassis. we make our moterhomes out of these.
the one set was the right lenght but i had to cut a bit off of the other set, i got mine for free but if you phone ford i am sure they are cheeper than the 160 + dollars some places want.
