My kids live in Ajax & we usually get a big bag of toys at the dollar store for when the Duram PD sets up at the Canadian Tire store.
If permission were granted by FTE to attach their name to the Sick Kids Toy Drive (can't see any problems there) you can put my name on your list.
Somebody would have to volunteer to do the delivery run to Sick Kids. A few others would have to make the rounds in their area to collect from the members.
All in all, it shouldn't be too hard to put together.

Are more toys needed for one age group more than others? Are there more kids aged 5-9 in the hospital than 1-4 or 10-16?
A delivery date would be very helpfull along with a specific delivery address, as in; S.C.H. shipping & recieving, or a local fire hall or 52 Division or even the Shriners headquarters?
Let us know what's needed so we can hit Wal-Mart or Zellers.

I'll have to go look there. Maybe my daughters would enjoy plush trucks.

We're in the second half of November already, so we'll need to get on with this.
The Sick Kids Hospital has a radio ad on 680NEWS. The question I have here is....would we be more helpful to the big picture by sending in donations? Do we need to get a fund together as a group? Also, are any of you gentlemen Shriners? My boss is & he's going to call a few people to find out what they're doing.
Anyway, more to follow.

toy drive

time to get serious about this guys , middle of november and nothing is in place yet , new unwrapped toys are always welcome at any local fire hall , i know a few radio and tv stations that have a drop off for new un wrapped toys , fire halls , even a good cash donation from all of us to the food bank might be an option , or maybe if anyone has been following the toronto sun and their christmas wish column for adopting a family in need might just work out for us , get all of your ideas together for the end of this week and lets FOCUS on getting this done , AL you see where i'm going with this , maybe we can get our moderators FOCUS and fill it with toys or goodies and have santa Matt do the delivery. any other input...AL
