Rear air

Has anyone ever tried installing a console with rear air in an Explorer that didn't come with rear air?

I haven't, but I'd expect it's a nightmare.

I imagine you are right. I see the consoles right often on Ebay and I was just wondering if it would be possible.

It may not be too awful bad, since all there is on the console part of it is a blower motor and switch. The problem lies in the fact that the dash AC plenum is different, as it has an opening made to couple that console to the dash unit. You would be kinda out of luck there.
