Help, Intermittent Problem

I have a 1996 PSTD Crew Cab about 160,000 miles, it’s completely stock, except for a 6” lift and I just picked up a SuperChip for it and installed the High Performance Program in it. Other than that its stock. My problem just recently started, I will just be driving along normally and all off a sudden it will die for just a second, (split second). It’s like someone hooked up a kill switch and is turning it off while I’m driving for a sec. It doesn’t die to where I have to restart, but just too where it seems like it’s an (on off) hesitation. It doesn’t seem to happen as much since I installed the Superchip but it did do it again today only once. Last week it seemed to do it almost every time I went somewhere. One of the reasons I picked up the superchip was so I could see if any codes where popping up from this problem, and found nothing as far as codes. It is sure is an intermittent problem can’t seem to pin point. Seems like it could be electrical. Any Ideas?? THANKS!!!

Do you think it would bring a code up if it was the CPS? I havent had a code come up yet.

this guy is pretty good i just bought an icp sensor from him a few weeks ago click here
it could be something else wrong with your truck but i highly doubt it. and everyone who comes along will suggest this first also. hopefully it all works out for you.

No, I will try installing a new one. its does seem like a good idea. I mean what do I have to loose, its not like it could get any worse. That link doesnt seem to work not going through.

yeah the link is good but it wont let you go there due to this sites rules about hotlinking. its an easy fix. 10mm wrench and a couple of minutes.
and yes it can get worse. your truck will end up completely dying and not restarting.

it still stalling on you??

how well did you clean the terminals on the computer where the chip plugs in?? a loose chip will also give you that same problem.
