Blower motor part number ID help
Ok, I just got my hands on what I believe 50's era correct aftermarket heater for my 52 project. The thing is, I open it up and find out the thing has a 12V ford blower motor in it.
If I'm reading the part number prefix correctly, I think its out of a 1960 ford truck. Part # COTF-18427-A, with a date on it of Nov 13, 1959.
Now my question, in 1960, did they have an add on, recirculating type heater? (it really resembles a "magic air" from the early 50's) or have I stumbled upon an older heater case with a "newer" motor? Does anyone have a parts book they can verify the application? My parts book collection stops at 1955. The reason I ask, is the motor it toasted, and I need to find a replacement. Thanks

THat number crossed over to a C1TZ 18527-A , which is now a E3PZ 18527-A and is available from Ford for $94.13 The Motorcraft number is MM 427. Yes, there was a fresh aire and recirculating heater option for 57-60. They shared the same motor, which you have. That motor has a widespread application.
I have all the parts books for Ford cars, 48-72 and can access 73 and on at work.
