Airbag Code 34???

Airbag Code 34???
I have a 2002 Explorer with and airbag code 34 by counting light flashes. I have found somewhere that code 34 is driver side airbag low resistance or shorted. The cruze and horn still work. What now?
Ford says that the restraint system has a 5 year 50K mile warenty and that it would cover an air bag module, but not a sensor. If the airbag has low resistance or is shorted would this be covered?
From what I am reading the clock spring usually gives a high resistance reading... code 32.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

You could unplug the air bag and then you would have hi resistance so your code should change, that is if the problem is in the bag.I wasn't aware you could count flashes on the air bag system. I use a AutoDiag scanner by DiagTek but they don't sell them anymore, but I have seen them on EBay
