Question Dimmer Switch

Hey All;

On my 1999 Mountaineer the problem i am having is that when vehicle is running i tried putting interior lights on with dimmer switch it wont work but will dim out the lights in the dash correctly, sound like the switch is junk? I appreciate anyone who could help me out...

Anyone have a problem with their dimmer switch?

Sounds like the switch to me. I would assume the contact is faulty. From what I know of this type of circuit the dimmer could still operate but full on could fail. Try a wrecker for the switch (they may be the same for Explorers/Mountaineers 95-99).

It would take 5 minutes to replace. Check your Haynes/Chilton manual.
