Antifreeze leak...frost plug??

I was under the truck checking for leaks and noticed antifreeze dripping off the oil pan (maybe 1 drip every 5 seconds). There was nothing evedent on the top side so I looked up on the block from underneath and saw a frost plug nearby but could'nt really tell if anything was coming out of it. Do these plugs corrode and begin leaking on these older trucks? It looks like it would be tough to get to. Do you pop these in or pull them out?

Thanks,

Wooddy

They corrode and leak on newer vehichles aswell. If you try and knock it in on one side a little at a time the other side will pop out a small amount then you can pry it out. The new one should go in evenly. Find a socket about the same size to fit it put an extension on it ans use that to knock it in. You said its hard to get. Well then you can get a rubber expansion plug to replace it you will see how it works when you get it. I dont rcomend using the rubber type unless its a must.
