Who is seriously going to upgrade to the 6.4l?

So, who intends purchasing a 6.4l when they come out?

If I needed a new truck I would be hesitant to buy a new model in the first year production run. I would wait at least two years.

if they offer us enough on the trade in on the lemon6.0 we had, than we would "upgrade" on the 6.4.

It all depends on how large the rebates will be on the last of the 6.0's. I know it's a situation of owning a brand new truck which is already outdated by the latest and greatest new thing - but that always happens. The 6.0 dosent scare me in the least and it's more than enough truck for anything I'd ever use it for.

If the rebates aren't to my liking considering everything, then I'll wait until the 2007's get discounted for the 08' model year.

I'll be in the market for a diesel by then but I am going to hold off for at least a year and make sure all the bugs are worked out, then I'm in!

I will be in the market by 07-08 for a new truck to replace my Explorer. I will wait to see how the early reliability will be for the new trucks and engines.

I won't be tradng my 05 PSD as long as its running as good as it does now. I sold my soul to get it. I convinced my wife 05 was a good time, all the bugs out of the 6.0. Prior to 6.4 or changed to the turbo. I expect around 2015 I will be looking for a new SD 8.0 litre dual turbo, 100% biodiesel, crew with air ride suspension, air lockers front and rear, full electronic traction and a 7 speed torque shift.

:-)

My 04 will be paid off in May- just in time to get one without ditching the 04.

I'll be making a deposit and spec-ordering one

I'm just glad they are staying with a familiar network protocol...that way we can get to work immediately!

i should be due for a new truck by 07 but by no means is the 7.3 going to be given up easilly it all depends on how the truck looks and the power its going to produce i would probly buy it used and let some one else take the HUGE hit on the sticker price

Wow.

We have made it to 13 posts and 27 votes without anyone choosing "All this technology only wants me to yearn for a 70's Ford."

The carb boys must be napping.

Well I`ll surely take a good look when they come out to see what they have, then wait a year to see probs. Then yea I`ll get one for wife or %@its & grins, but always keep the 7.3
