I'm seriously considering trading in my '05 F-150 on one. I've had an '01 F-250 and 350 with the 7.3L in them. Loved them. I thought a gasser would suffice but I already want back into a smoker!

I had my 03 SD destroyed when some guy rear ended me and bought an 05 f150 as an interim truck til the 07's come out. I believe it will be better than previous models, due to the fact that the competition has upped the ante considerably!

Will be following the 6.4 closely...Trade / resale on my 6.0 will actually be the determining factor on when I pull the trigger.

Well, plus the price / availability of diesel at the time.

Who knows...if Ford throws some pretty good bait out there, they might be able to set the hook sooner.

But my beef is that we went though having a thread like this two years ago. Because it was suppose to be out for "05" and now the Ford dealers around me look at me funny when I ask anything about the 6.4 twin turbo.

Ok, you have me interested...
How did you find out that the 6.4l was supposed to be released in the 05?
So I am told, the basic concept of the engine didn't even start until just after the 6.0l was released.
No large auto company in thier right mind would spend only 2 years developing an engine.

Because guy I own a fleet of Super Dutys. And further more I try and keep up with the latest and greatest.

And I also follow Fire Truck and Ambulance Specs. So after owning and driving Fords all of my driving life and following them like people follow sports. I think I might know what the heck I'm talking about.

And also nobody has shown any proof of this rumor.

I was not saying you didn't know what you were talking about. I am sorry it was interpreted that way.
I have seen very significant AND credible evidence to suggest it is coming out in 07.
And before I get bombarded with requests to post this, in the age of the Internet I cannot.
You are quite welcome to take it on face value.
If you don't believe me, thats fine. We shall just all wait in anticipation of the 07 release.

Wait all you want. I wanted one last year to find out the whole thing was a joke. Dealers don't even know about this yet and so if they don't how would you know any better then the rest of us?

And if they do come out well maybe I'll buy one. But until till then I'll find other things to buy other then rumors.

And you can't even provide a link to the source to prove that this is fact true.

I generally find dealers lacking in the info department on new stuff for a while. When the Armada came out I looked into it and a number of the dealers knew less about it then I did. I think Truck Trend or Motor Trend also talked about the 07s having the 6.4 Twin Turbo. From the pics in another thread the truck does look pretty good. I just hope the engine will be a strong one and Ford has all the electronics and componets up to par.

Sounds like sglaine has been driving his fleet of Superduties with a pretty big burr under his seat.

Chill out...guy. Some people around here have connections you obviously do not have.

Doesn't matter much if you borrowed a Superduty the other day or own a 1,000 of 'em. Most folks around here won't care much either way.

Instead of telling us what you don't know, why don't you tell us what you do know and when doing so...lighten your load a little.

Exactly. Well said Keith. Fred (BigF350) is a very honest, and reliable source. I wouldn't question for a second the information he has presented you. Take it as you want, but the 6.4TT is coming.

sometimes its fun to stump the salesman. I know more about the current lineup than most salesman and more about my SD than my service advisor would care to admit. Mention a 6.4TT and all you get are blank stares...I wonder if Ford threatened people?

I am chilled out there. But what make this funny is that you guys have not proven that there is going to be a 6.4 .. All I have seen is rumors from you all.

So you just chill

Nothing to prove sglaine. The purpose of the entire 6.4 forum (at this point in time) is for conjecture, guesses, wishes, supposes, and fun....albiet, with some hints of truth laced inbetween... And will continue to be until Ford makes an official announcement.

Then we will get technical. There is a wealth of knowledge and skill in this forum. Some are involved with Ford directly and / or indirectly and may be sworn to secrecey...this is not a place to challenge them for "proof".

For now, take the comments and threads here in the 6.4 forum for face value only. It just a place for us to lighten our load a little.

BTW: When / if anything is confirmed...there is a pretty good chance you will see it here, pretty close to first.
