I've only bought one new vehicle and will probably never buy another one. If I were to buy one, though, it wouldn't be the first production year. Maybe by the second or third year, I would take a chance on one.

It is already decided. I will order one as soon as possible. That said, my paid off 7.3 is not going anywhere. I'm gonna keep it kinda just in case. Not that I am worried just that it is to good a truck to ever get rid of.

If they don't have a ton of bugs, I MIGHT buy a new one if I have the money. If not, I'll wait until the 08-2010 models are 1-2 years old and pick one up used.

if we all enjoyed our "work" as much as some do, this would be a happier site! i for one hope the rebates are huge, having one i like so far means more parts for me.

So is there any real proof that they are coming out with this engine?

Well, I think it would have been a little silly of us to create a forum especially for it if we were just going to cross our fingers and hope...

I think this has been covered before. Yes. There will be a 6.4L PSD. Love it, or hate it, this engine will be packin' some power. I just want to see where in the RPM range. I'll never get rid of the 7.3L, but a 6.4L is a future possibility. Maybe if I go that route, I can turn the 7.3L into a 600hp 1100ft/lb monster!!!

Doc I completly agree lol. I really cant wait to get a new truck but my empty wallet is the biggest reason I cant for now. I just hope the new Engine and its electronics will be reliable so I can remain a Ford owner.

I'm really happy with my 6.0. But if I hit the lottery or something between now and 2007 maybe I'll consider giving the 6.4 a whirl
