taillight covers rubbing paint?

Hello, I was going to order some taillight covers for my F-150 but heard from my brother that the covers he had on his explorer rubbed the paint to the point where it began chipping. Maybe he just got a cheap pair or something but wanted to know if this is a common problem with taillight covers in general. The ones I'm looking at are here.

Thanks

Mike

I've never had them on a ford, but on my 3 previous chevy's I've never had them rub on the paint. Maybe I've just been lucky?
