Colo79Ford is starting off with a positive reputation.
Unhappy Need 4x4 C6 for 79 F-250.

My torque converter started to come apart and dispersed a ton of metal into my transmission...Now its going bad on me, chewing up new converters, and I need to find a new cheap transmission.

My truck is a 79 f-250 4x4 with the married NP203 case. The tailshaft adapter that goes from the transmission to the transfer case is the longer of the 2.

I am pretty broke right now, but have some stuff i can trade for a working transmission and converter...

i have

B&M Master overhaul kit (rebuild kit) for a Ford C4 and another for a Ford C6. (i would like to keep the C6 rebuild kit for the tranny i get,but it can go if needed)
429 Builder engine
HEI Distributor for SBF, 302, 289. Just needs a new cap and coil ( they were broke when i got it from from the company)

And thats about it, let me know what you have, and how much to get it...I really need this transmission problem fixed. I found a running driving 4x4 Chevy for $400, but would rather fix my old ford...

Thanks..
