Smile New Engine!!

Hello All:

Installed my 360 in my truck last weekend! I rebuilt it (and I don't think I am crazy for keeping the 360) with an RV Cam and it runs great. I posted some new photos on my gallery. To date I have rebuilt the front end, replaced the brakes on all 4 corners, new wheels and tires and rebuilt the engine (should be about 220 horse). All I have left is to do some body work and paint the old boy and he will be done. Then I have to get back on my 1956 F100 and get it finished. Just thought I would let everyone know! Yes - I am a redneck!

Good looking truck! keeping the 360 wasn't a bad call. I am rebuilding a 69 f100 with a 360 (2wd) it had the same interior and paint scheme as yours, originally I wanted to restore it but I've decided to customize it somewhat. Hopefully I'll have my gallery up soon so everyone can tell me what they think.

Fling:
It has a 4 speed new process 435 for the tranny and a Dana 21 Transfer Case. Rear end is of course a 9" with 3.50 gear ratio. Did not go very agressive on the engine, just hardened seats and an RV Cam to give it a little more lower end. This is my work horse so trying to keep it set up for that.

I have a 56 F100 that I am building that i have an injected 5.0 punching 370+ hp hooked to an AOD, 9" rear end and 4 wheel disk. Using the 69 to trailer the 56 around to all the places I need to get the 56 finished

George,

<quote>Yes - I am a redneck!<endquote>

I'm not a redneck (though some of my best friends are interestingly enough) and I'm restoring one of these trucks right now as well (1972 F250 Camper Special. I have a 1968 F250 Camper Special to do after the '72 is done). Prior to returning to these trucks I was a Jaguar XKE sports cars enthusiast. One of my XKE friends also loves these trucks. Thought I was the only one. ;-)

All the best,

Will
