07 Escape Hybrid?

Is there any info on what and when for the 07 Escape Hybrid? Since the 06 was very early, will the 07 be coming in the spring also? Any major changes? Are there any plans for a Hybrid Explorer?

Jeff

I don't now about an Explorer hybrid but Ford plans to make hybrid versions of at least half of its Ford, Lincoln and Mercury lineup by 2010. The important part is "plans".

I haven't heard of any changes for the 07 Hybrid so I don't think there will be any major changes and it will be awhile before the 07 is available. The 06 hybrid shipped early? I believe the 06 hybrid started shipping in Aug 05 same as the regular 06 Escape. Now the 05 hybrid was shipping around 3Q04 but what really shipped early was the regular 05 Escape shipping in March 04.

Ford folks are planning now for changes beginning in the '08 model.
And from what I have heard a hybrid Explorer is far in the future. The next Ford hybrid will be on the Fusion, which is built in Hermosillo, Mexico.
There is only one plant (Claycomo, MO, near Kansas City) producing the two current Ford hybrid models, the Escape and Mariner.

since the escape just recently got a small makeover, lights, wheels, etc. and the 2006 hybrid is getting a few more options than the 2005 i bet there won't be anything real different for a couple of years.
