1997 Expedition Speaker Size

Thank you for looking in.

I want to replace my stock speakers in my 1997 Expedition w/o Mach System. I have searched the forum and havent found the answer i am looking for. I will most likely replace all the doors with 6x8. I know I can replace all 4 with 6x8, what I am having a hard time is the maximum depth a speaker can have to fit correctly. I read that the rear doors are the real problem.

Any information towards this matter will be appreciated.

Review the Crutchfield site and check out their list of compatable rear speakers.
