Putco Chrome Mirrors n Handles in Winter?

I ordered a set of Putco Chrome Mirror and Door Handle covers. They should be arriving shortley. My question is if there ok in the Winter, I live in Connecticut, so it can get pretty cold here and we tend to get a good amount of snow. Im wondering if it will cause the Chrome finish to peel, Crack, or fade. anyone have experience with this? Thanks

Snow won't hurt them. But salt and sand and crap will. You can protect the mirror covers with a light coating of Vaseline, but you don't want that on door handles.

I'd wait till the spring to install them. Then at least you'll have several months to monitor how they stand up without added winter problems.

The ones I have are chromed stainless steel. I live in Massachusetts and they have been through two winters and they still look brand new.
