I have a 1983 F250 4X4 with a low milage30K, 302/auto, with a spare rebuilt trans/transfer case even though the one in it still works fine. and also several other spare parts. it looks rough and it has a homemade wood flatbed on it. Ive owned it for three years and know both the previous owners . Id like to sell it or trade for something interesting , because I need to get it out of my ex=girlfrinds driveway, and have three other vehicles. If anyone is interested please let me know, Im in Homer
almost anything , I have a 76 one ton that im looking for a FE engine for , a good hand gun , and Im not to picky about the brand , a running snow machine, a running four wheeler, and possibly anything that I may not have mentioned ,if it sounds interesting. Iv just put the good studded tires back on it so its ready for winter.it could even be a combination of things
is it at least a 3/4 ton , iv been wanting to make my one ton tow truck into a 4/4, and could
I be lucky enough that, that transfer case would bolt to my 4 speed transmission because
I have a hydraulic pto for my tow winch
It is a F-250(3/4 ton). The transfer-case is divorced in the Ford trucks up to 1977 or 1978 so it doesn't have to bolt up. There is a drive-line between the tranny and t-case.

Own power.. I would not drive it that far. The steering is sloppy and the brakes hang up. The drive-train would make it but Homer is a long ways to go with no brakes..

The brakes , powersteering , etc.etc. are new on mine or reciently installed (in the last three years ), and I have spare parts for almost everything. I was intending to use it for the doner for the tow truck but it got to involved ( to light of a frame , to much fabrication, and to much down time). the only thing actually wrong with mine, (other than it not having a straight panel on it ) is that I need to align the front end and I have already installed the pucks for that. Ive made three trips to glennallen and back , and several trips to Seward , so mines pretty roadworhty. Got anything you can add to your end of the trade to make it a little more interestion? Bob
if yours had a four speed , i would probably still make the trade. its just that if I dont get as many parts as possile in this kind of a trade , then I have to find another something to trade for the parts that I"ll still need , Thanks for your time ,bob
