OK gota ask. What is the snowpack like in the Fairbanks area come April? resqdawg3 might have to come down here for some winter time sports. Hill climb and snowmachine races going on in Apr and May.

Hill climb is fun, espically when the sled comes down the mountain without the rider. YARD SALE!

I'll get a feel for it come March. Going to come up and spend a weekend admiring the Ice Carving. Havent been up there since 93 to see that. It was pretty amazing back then and I'm pretty sure its gotten better.

Never have gone back in there in the winter, but I'm sure Hatcher Pass probably has some good recreation in April. What's so great about it is you don't have to come over to my side to enjoy it. Just a quick drive from Fairbanks to Willow. Then it's up and over the mountain.

I was just up there three weeks ago. Actually drove up to Summit Lake to do a little Ptarmagin hunting. That was about the last hoorah for the season....The road closed the 16th...opens again.....when the snow melts off, like in JUNE!!
