well i have dealt with S&S many times and never had a failure. many members here have also gone with them. i see no issues with them. and you can not beat the 70k warranty should you need it. i have used 19 of their reman engines in the last 3 years all great engines. that purred right out of the crate. they ranged from small 22r toyta engines to the 7.3 psd engine. i install engines on the side. i have also installed that same 292 in a 64 ford f100 truck about 2 years back. it runs fine and has about 21k on it and used as a daily driver.
