How does one find out what gear ratio their NP435 has for 1st gear??

 

the NP435 that comes in the ford is
6.69:1 first
3.34:1 second
1.79:1 third
and dir. in fourth

Looking at my divorced np205, it has 2 shift rods. Can you split the linkage so that it will operate independantly like an AtlasII tcase??

 

have not done it to mine yet so I don't know for sure.
someone told me it should work tho.

Twin Stick Conversion? Yes, that can be done. I'm not sure how though, but you should be able to find the info on the internet.

 

Yes it can be done. You have to pull out your shift rail and grind some material off of it. Email me and I will email you the article. I am still trying to figure out what to use for a shifter though...

Currie makes a twin stick shifter, but it'd have to be adapted to the np205.
