What kind of parts are you looking for? eBay might be a good place to start, I've seen a few of the COE's and related parts go up there for sale. Might also want to try Hemmings. And by the way, nice truck, I always liked the COE's.

Oh, and welcome to the boards

I've got a 46 myself that I'm starting to work on. Plans for mine are a 8ft pick-up box, 1/2 ton axles, disc brakes, but I'm keeping the flathead and 4-speed.

Looking good there, 46cabover. It's always great to see some of the bigger trucks being saved and brought back to life.

your cabover looks like it's in great shape, i wish mine had looked like that when i started. you said you planned on modernizing the axles i was wondering if you had a 2 speed rear, i'm looking for some parts also let me know when you start tearing into yours i'm about 1/2 way done and i've run across some good sources for parts...good luck with the project!!

2 speed rear

Yep,
It's got the 2 speed rear end. It will be coming out, so if you need one, it'll be available. I'm also trying to figure out what to do with the existing box. If anyone's restoring one, it's a 13(?)ft bed with all the wood side pieces. Everything there, we were using it to haul grain up until about 15 years ago.

Enjoyed your cabover thead. I've got a a 1939 C.O.E. with 78 GM 1T axles, 460 Lincoln, C6, tilt cab rigged, a long way to go on this project. Have you found any good sites or sources of ideas or forums on C.O.E.'s to include cooling, brakes, neat beds or combos of classic cabover look with more modern driveability?

My 1939 C.O.E.

I found a like interest group (COE) at <oldcoetrucks@yahoogroups.com>. My project moving glacially slow. I have abandoned car "hauler" config contemplating graft of dually pickup bed on my chassis.
