Making 92 F150 sliding windows and vent windows theft resistant ?

Does any aftermarket manufacturer make a product that will make the factory sliding rear windows on a 92 F150 more theft resistant? Mytruck has been broken into in the past --and thief gained entrance thru the rear sliding glass window.

And does anyone make somethng to make the vent windows more theft resistant??

You can use a thumb screw clamp on the slider channel. Available at hardware stores for home protection.

You can put a small piece of metal or plastic in the channel just like you do for house sliding glass doors, I have done that on Rangers. Unlike a house though, they are likely to just break the glass or to grab the moulding rubber and pull the window right out of the truck in less then 30 seconds. Then toss it to the side to "give it to you" and smash the sliding window if noone is around or noone cares.

How effective it is going to be determined by how isolated the truck is and if your truck has a motion sensor. The best thing is to have an alarm set off by a motion (radar/rf) detector for anything moving inside your cab.

As to the vent window, you can buy glue on screws from James Duff that work on early Broncos and just about any truck with the wing vents.

Uh--I was hoping for a way to make the sliding rear window more thief resistant--that doesnt involve feeding and defecation--especially within the cab.

for a cheap way to make your sliding back glass more theft resistant, use a zip tie aroun the latch. You could also spend $50-$100 on an alarm system. My best advice to anyone is, don't leave anything in plain sight of anyone who may walk by. If your CD player has a removable face, take it off, and bring it in with you. If a would be thief walks by and glances in your truck, and all he sees is a steering wheel and a seat, hes not likely to give it a second thought. Also, a pitbull is not the best idea for theft deterrence. We breed and raise them, they are more likely to lick you than bite you. Although Buddy (my Pitbull) will not let anyone within 3 feet of any vehicle he occupies, but thats because I trained him that way.
