2000 Windstar Fuel pump fuse
Posting for a friend. I only have big vans.
2000 Windstar 3.8
2 times over the past 2 months, the #5 fuse for the fuel pump has blown. Also a couple of times since the last time the fuse blew, he said it turned over and over, firing every once in a while, but not starting. He comes back later, maybe 20 mins. and it starts right up. The last time this happened the van had set 30 mins.
Sure sounds like fuel pump, but I thought I'd run it by here before he puts out the $500 to have someone replace it.

I do not believe that there is alot of knowledge about the FWD windstar platform on this board. Other than the common 3.8-4.2 lineage most people here are 4.2 fullsize truck and van people. The FWD platforms may have there own board here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/f170-windstar.html
