You can do it one of two ways. Buy the Lariat cluster (or LT cluster, which oddly is cheaper) figure 250-400 depending on luck and location. The information switches go for 12-89 bucks. There is a harness, or you can do it with D100 pins. Instructions are out there. You do the work, not too tough, then you have to find a dealer that will program the PCM in your truck to recognize it.
Set 650 bucks aside and you can do the whole job within the month.
Only set 400 aside and it may take you months and months to find the bargains, and wait on parts shipping.
Or you can buy a ScanGauge, ugly, but much more info. That will set you back 129 or so, and take a couple days.
I know lots who have done it both ways.
