Exhaust mods 6.4L

Hey i just got my CA. spec 6.4 122HP 292lb. torque. What kind of exhaust mods or chips can i put in this truck. Should i cut the 4 cat. converters off, or should i just go for the new banks 6 gun bundle? I wish i could just get it up to the stock hp and tq ratings of the out of state trucks.

Got the 9 gun bundle

Hey i got the 9 gun installed yesterday. Man i love this truck it runs with my new corvette Z06 and it will also out pull it too! Now ive got this wierd shifting problem in the new 6R120 tranny. I just dont know what to do with this 65,000 dollar regular cab.

P.S. got pulled over for the bumper sticker and the cop asked if the truck really can "Kiss My Tree Huggin Rear".

anyone know the max boost spec for this twin turbo ? just blew out a 60 psi guage, or do you think the problem is due to the custom 6" exhaust?

60 sounds about right. If you are running a tuner I recommend a set of ARP studs an c-rings. These things will handle 95lbs no problem, anything above that and you'll puke coolant...

6.4 Tt

Im getting a perfect 100 psi on my guage, custom guage. You might need a bigger exhaust, im running a 8 inch with a 10 inch peterbilt tip on mine. It made a big difference. The 8 inch also allows me to run 90+ mph up 6 and 7 percent grades with my EGT's at 600 Degrees pulling a 32 foot montana fifth wheel. I like this truck its nice as sin.

i bought the california eliminator chip. it runs great now here are my thoughts..........

my truck has regained its senses and has begun to act normal, it will no longer be a liberal, Clinton luvin, tree huggin squirrel kissin, no smoke blowin, might as well use it for an anchor because its soooo slow, POS , and will immediatly be transformed into a hard rockin, soot blowin, Greenpeace hatin, Bush lovin, roaring beast that every time i rip into it off the line it will send a thick, black cloud of nasty ozone killin, beautiful smellin diesel soot at the "save the spotted field mouse" crowd, and make them run for cover!!!!!

Oopps sorry, that just kinda slipped out

if you dont find that funny you probably shouldnt own a diesel or be on this site.

2007 cc, 7 speed manual, srw, 4x4 f-450 6.4l twin oh boy!!!

It's all funny. Too many enviro idiots out there.

I saw this on the back of an F-350 welding truck once. Love this one.

Hey I have this problem with my new 6.4,It normally comes with 400 HP right. But I up graded the T turbos and installed the biggest chip I could find(I think it adds like 200 HP over stock)...I havnt installed gauges yet,but i will!!!!!!But heres my problem,I floored the truck a few times now.The frist time the truck took off really fast. The second time,it was like the egine was red lining at 8000 RPMs and the truck was just sitting there. So i stoped to see whats up and I saw the trany smoking.Does this mean that i might need a new trany.
Oh.....I almost forgot the second time when the truck didnt move,I held the pedel to the floor for almost 3 minutes with no luck, but when i opened the hood the DP was red.
The thing I was wondering is that normal????
And about the trany should i add more power to it and see if the will fix the problem.

Thanks for all the help.

Its funny you joke about 6 inch exhaust, because my buddy and i made a custom 6 inch exhaust for his 05. sounds pretty sweet. YOU know, all you guys are going to be so disappointed with this new engine, becuase with all the joking about its impressive power to the extreme, your going to start to believe its true! Oh boy you all may need some professional help to fix that one
