Make that 300 fit. You won't be sorry! Those engines were built to last. Very heavy-duty construction with loads of torque. Check out the in-line engine section of this site if you haven't already. There are many stories about these engines going 2 or 3 hundred thousand miles.

Is it really that much longer than a 223? I have considered putting the 300 in my 55 F-600 and I'm sure it would fit since it came with a 223.
