no power and rough up shift

just bought the truck f550 ramp truck with 240k on it. my first ford
new trans from ford seems to have little power and rough up shift when it gets to the finel overdrive did not do that when i drove it home i could get it up to 85 mph or more and now at best 70mph and almost 3000rpms what should i look for?

and smokes a little at higher rpms

Have you checked the tranny fluid?
Do you have "proof" that the tranny was replaced?

check the fuel lines underneath the truck some times the fuel lines get pinched or kinked when doing swaps like that and go unnoticed. also when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced, some times from all the banging around stuff gets stired up in the fuel system and clogs the fuel filter. what year is the truck?
