Rumor mill.

Hey guys, I heard a rumor about Ford going back to the 7.3L engine. Is there any validity to this, or is it just talk?

Tried the search, with no luck.

Thanks.

Rumor Mill

I just came off an 11 day show where Ford was the major sponsor. The plan is that in 07 Ford will release a whole new truck that will take on the look of the Mighty Tonka. The power plant is going to be a 6.4L Twin Turbo Charged diesel that will deliver about 400hp right from the factory. The Ford rep Also told me that if there were any issues with the new motor they would hold it until 2008 and release the new body style in 2007. As soon as I get new info I will post it.

Thanks

The 6.4 is on the way, and get this: it's a FORD engine. Due to their so-called "quality control," Navistar is out of the picture. And if you've been unhappy with your 6.0, unable to lemon-law it or get Ford to buy it back, you may want wait a bit. Rumor has it there will be a "sorry-we-screwed-you-over" rebate on the 6.4 for owners of the 6.0.

Any pictures or concept drawings of what it will look like?

Tim: I'll see to it you get our first one!

Oh, wait a minute- maybe I better get you the 20th one. I mean, considering Ford's track record with NEW DIESELS...

Interesting. Does that mean I hold off on buying any new mods for my '05 6.0 if I want to chance the new and untested 6.4?
