steering column help

howdy.
since january i've been collecting the parts needed to construct an f-1. the plan is to build a hotrod shop-truck from scratch. when it's together, i'll post some pics.
nearly every part has come from a different source, i've met a ton of cool people. the part i'm having to most trouble finding is the tube that holds the steering column. i've got a really nice box/column, a good steering wheel, just nothing to connect the two. if anyone has one to spare (especially in the pittsburgh area) i'd really appreciate the help.
most of my truck is a '49. i've got a top-loader.
thanks,
chris

Try Dennis at Recks and Relics they are in Ohio. I've seen them on E-Bay also, maybe one of the members has an extra, check Websites classified section. Good Luck and welcome to forum
