What I wouldn't give for that truck..

It figures after I just put a ton of money into mine . It would have been cheaper to buy this truck.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Aug-02 AT 02:36 PM (EST)]I wonder how much he paid for it when it was new. That's a loaded truck!

Look at the cowl seal. It's still intact. He must have kept it in a climate controlled storage.

Why is he selling it, anyway? I'd never sell such beauty.

WOW that's pretty nice, all origional EXCEPT the wheel covers...

My f250's gaskets are shot because of my low mileage (power steering is leaking)SO most likely his are too

Original. It was available back then. My 79 F100 has the same wheel covers from factory.

It's not too loaded, No A/C. Nice truck, Why would you go buy a new truck, then park it for 24 years? Sounds kinda suspicious to me

I'm just wondering if he ever "got alittle" at the drivein before he decided to store it for posterity----maybe he thought that he could be "buried" in his ford truck---weird deal !!!fd

Oh really, my bad I didn't think that those wheel covers came out until the 80's design.

That is a nice truck but I have the same question why would somebody buy a new truck like that and store it. Maybe the person that owned the truck was in the army or something like that and bought the truck but got shipped off somewhere but didn't return and his or her family kept the truck in storage for centimental value. The truck is probably gonna need work to get it road worthy again a vehical sitting that long isn't good. The truck probably is going to need to have the brakes rebuilt, the fuel system probably has tobe cleaned, the engines gaskets and seals will have tobe replaced. The wiring probably will need attention the connections have tobe cleaned etc.

Its a nice truck but it maybe a maintanance pig for a year or so fixing stuff.

Many of the wheel and driveline bearings go bad sitting for that long in one spot unless it was driven occasionaly. Motor bearings can corrode in place also. That truck should go into a museum.
