Unhappy My 302 is "gasping" for air...or something

Well, I have a 1992 Bronco with a 302, it has no modifications. It'll run good for like 7 miles, then its starts trying to stall while im driving, and if I stop, it'll sometimes stall. I just relpaced the fuel filter, and the distributor id fairly new. Its like its gasping for air or not getting gas. PLEASE HELP! MY TRUCK HAS ASTHMA!

i have a friend that is experiencing what appears to be the same problem... has a mechanic looking at it now... mechanic thinks it might be the EGR valve, any thoughts if this might be the culprit to this annoying situation?

Yeah look at some of the stuff I mentioned to hatch. Bad vac leaks can kill the engine, especially at idle, primarily because it can't move the EGR valve. Often showes an "EGR valve position sensor error".

Fuel system, maybe.

pull codes. this should be uno number one on your list to do. any parts store can do it for free or do it yourself.
once youve done this let us know what you find before throwing parts at an unknown issue
