Arrow Tranny filter and Fluid

How difficult is it to change the filter and fluid on an F350 SD CREW CAB W/ 4WD ? ARE THESE GENERALLY STOCKED ITEMS AT LOCAL SHOPS???

No harder than any other E4OD or 4R100, and most of the good tranny shops should carry the filter. I'd suggest flushing the tranny and make sure they put the proper fluid back in it.

its very easy. you can get the filter at autozone. the factory gasket (rubber coated metal) is reusable, providing its still there. the old filter just pulls out and the new one presses in and is held in buy a rubber o-ring. make sure the old o-ring comes out with the old filter (sometimes they get stuck in the filter neck) use only Mercon/dextron fluid, DO NOT USE MERCON V, do not use a fluid that is Mercon/Mercon V

Yes, you must drop the pan to change it.

does anyone know how much a dealer would probably charge for fluid, filter, and labor for a transmission fluid drain, filter change and new oil?
