The weekly check in.

How is everyone? Hope everyone's weekend was good? Anything new, exciting, or interesting going on?

Had to work on the holiday so nothing exciting here. Took the ranger out for a driver today, anyone want to donate some dollars for the ranger build? My son starts pre-school tomorrow that should be interesting. Wife and I might go look at a house on SAt. has a detached garage and workshop so I got my fingers crossed.

Let's hear form everyone.

Scott

It's going to be a trail truck eventually. It just need some tlc. It has a hole in the floor board, rust on the fenders and a few other places, it leaks oil from everyplace it can. Needs a new door and fender. I'm learning how to work on it as I go too I'm not much of a mechanic. Need some more room to work on it also.

Not a lot going on here, just trying to catch up with processing the garden produce before it goes bad, then get back to work on the truck and the van... she has no money far parts, so there it sits... on both counts!

I bought surround-sound speakers and receiver, now trying to get everything wedged into the living room. I'm also repainting the inside of my old ice chest. Went to the Japanese festival last Saturday at the botanical garden, that was neat.

Scott - nice looking Ranger. Exact same setup my dad had in the mid-to-late 90's for a daily driver. Except his was an STX pkg and is now, I'm sure in a junkyard somewhere because the people that bought it from us wrecked it.

Nothing going on around here. Just working, looking for ways to keep paying $3 a gallon for the Expy while my parents won't get the money for me to buy something better, and putting off the things I really need to get done on my days off (body work on the old F250, rebuilding boat carbs, etc.)

Good luck to all, in whatever you may do. Wish I could be there for the next meet, but I'm tied up at work again, but that may be changing soon.

Went to the Greaserama saturday. It's a rockabilly culture car and music show at an old venue downtown. Rat rods- now punk rods for the don't label me crowd- and lead sleds and vintage- 50s style- choppers, about half the cars there were street rods and a few hot rods. The hardcore people are cross between that 50s greaser and the goth freaks. I like the cars and the music.
I plan on going to the All Truck Nationals in riverside this weekend.

How was everyones weekend? Not to bad here. Wedding reception was alright, one of those sit down elegant type things, not really my thing. Had to work early today but actually turned out to be an easy day.

Installed a water separator/prefilter on my diesel, taken from an early 80's GM, went pretty smoothly actually. Also cleaned out the CDR, never been done since I had it, figured I better do it. Fiddled around with the Cummins project a little, need to find another diesel motor plate to hopefully make it a little easier... Anyone have a 6.9/7.3 truck they pulled the motor out of and don't plan on putting it back together?
