On mt 59 the vin number was stamped twice on the right frame rail. Once under th cab near the front cab mount, and again forward of the cab mount.

The one forward of the cab mount could be read just by raising the hood once the rust and dirt was cleaned off. I woud use a wire brush in the area untill I did see the number.

On my 57 F-250, it's on the passanger side frame rail behind the front axle The inspector said that the book said that on a 57 F-100, that it was in front of the front axle on the passenger side fram rail and on the drivers side frame in front of the firewall.
