Cool F150 Fire Anyone Else?

Hey,
Anybody had their F150 blow up in flames? We had to wake up our kids and get out of our house 'cause the F150 caught on fire next to house.

Hi and welcome to FTE! Be sure to read this to help you around this site: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=300691 There are also State Chapters located near the bottom of the main forum page.

The problem you had has happened to other people as well. It is caused by a leaking switch on the master cylinder. A $30 part. Sad that it happened to you though.

See ya on the boards!

Welcome to the forum,

What year is it? There is a recall on many that should have been done by now for a cruise control switch on the master cylinder.
Read all about it here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=337223

His profile says a 2000 F-150 (that's why I moved it here).

Most fires are caused by faulty audio equipment installs... I have seen some that used scotch tape, others used duct tape, some none at all. Some just looped the wires around each other... -very sad...

I just got my recall notice 3 weeks ago... I've been called a caveman but don't live in a cave! First I heard of it. You should realize that folks on this board are really in tune with thier trucks and any problems... 90+ percent of truck owners are not.
