Well.. i broke my dipstick.

Yep, i broke if off at the block. Don't ask me how. I'm stupid. Anyway, how do i go about getting that little chunk of metal out of there so i can put in a new dipstick. i already ordered the new one.

Any suggestions?

We are going to try getting at it with a screw driver and a hammer, and probably (try to) drill it out if the screw driver idea doesn't work.

What do you think?

If it's the dipstick housing that's broken off at the block, try using an easy-out. You may be able to "unscrew" it, if the easy-out will grab enough.

If the dipstick itself is broken off inside the housing, try "walking" it up using a strong magnet. It probably won't work but it's worth a try.

Smile dipstick tube

I had the same problem on my truck. I took it to the dealer for them to fix. I believe they used an easy out to remove it. They did put a bunch of rtv around the base of the tube though. Hey by the way, nice avatar.
