Trans fluid

I need to change the fluid in my 97 ranger manual trans. Am I supposed to use
ATF? I thought it would take an 80/90w gear lube.
I also have had an awful experience everytime I attempt to change the fuel filter on my ranger or 99 explorer. I can't seem to diengage the fuel
line no matter what tools I purchase.
Help.

I believe it's Mercon ATF but check your owners manual or this site...

The fuel filters can be tricky, do you have the proper tool? Some people just cut them apart and then release the connector.
