another late nite in the desert

Hi all,

Just thought I would drop a line and say to all the FTE'ers online at this late(or early)hour.

Greetings from Fallon, NV and my desk as I am on watch.

Jamie.

Where from in IL!
I'm from the Southern part of IL. Like the actual south part, not just the south part south of the state of Chicago.

Good morning.

I'm located about a mile from the Golden Gate Bridge.

kermit, I used to ride my Honda FL250 Odyssey at Sand Mountain, 30 minutes down the road on HY50.

Anyone in Fallon know where that sand came from?

I've been through Canton. It's on I-74 i belive between Peoria and Galesburg ain't it?

I had a buddy wo went to school at knox college in Galesburg, I went to visit him a few times and we went out fishing at the Knox College Field station loacted somewhere amidst corn and bean fields outside of Galesburg. It was an old strip mine and the college used the strip pits and the woods surrounding the place as their biology departments field study area.

kermit, your location states Camarillo.

Is that where you live now? Just curious.

Got a buddy who just retired as a Coastie that lives in Camarillo.

And yes. It does get hot there in the summer.

I used to live in Mojave, Ca.

I too, know hot.

Not for me.

Do you know what kind of boat you'll be on?

A buddy of mine was also in the Navy; back in the early 70s.

He was on the USS Ethan Allen (FBM sub)
