I would like to know if anyone has the Tornado on there car or truck and how much of a increase in gas mileage you have received by useing it? If you have any PRO'S and CON'S on it we would like to hear them.
I have one installed on my 73 F100. When I first put it on two years ago I did notice a difference with the fuel mileage. Maybe a couple miles or so more to the gallon.
But now that FUEL is so high, just take your tailgate off that should lighten your load and not your wallet.
My Dad installed the tornado on both his vehicles: '01 SD CC 5.4 and '00 Taurus SEL. I can report, that they did NOT improve mileage on either vehicle. My Dad was just out 65 bucks!
I can also say, that it did not hurt mileage...so they are still installed.
I do not know what you are driving, but getting more efficient fuel mileage goes with keeping you engine running well (tune up) and keeping those tires at +1 or 2 psi over manufacturer recommended.

You mean an item that works by swirling the air, for a better air/fuel mix, didn't do anything on vehicles in which the air and fuel don't meet until they are in an enclosed cylinder????

Truly. So many (mostly new people) ask this, maybe it should be a sticky.

I have posted this in othe forums to go along the lines with this fuel saver thing. If you really want to increase your MPG's and HP, install a computer fan right after your throttle body to give it the kind of supercharge effect. It's good for atleast 35-40 more horses and an increase in about 60mpg!!
