How much under Family Plan did you pay?

Its funny that some dealers are telling customers that the Family plan is the bottom line price. I paid $2397. less than the Family Plan price for my new Expedition.

How do you guys deal with the salesman that says that the Family Plan price is the bottom line, and they won't let them sell the trucks any cheaper?

Oh goodie, I can hardly wait to see this thread. Not to sound like this, but I'd like to see the paperwork on that deal- that amount put the dealer underwater, which means he either was desperate to unload that particular unit, screwed up, underallowed on a trade, or just flat kinked the customer into believing that was the deal he was getting.

After 30 years, just when I think I've seen it all, I've been proven wrong time and time again. The one thing a dealer won't do, on a new rig, is sell it to lose money- simply because it's not his money on the line in the first place- it's Ford's or the bank that holds the flooring line. Once the vehicle gets sold and the loss gets realized, though- it becomes his money.

I paid $34,000 with $200 doc fees, $1700 Ma sales tax and $85 plates/title fees. Total check off the lot $35985.00 There was no trade at all involved, and that is exactly what I wrote my check out for.

It is an 05 EB 4x4 with these options:
Safety/security package

heated/cooled seats

power moonroof

power rear-quarter flip windows

powerfold 3rd row seat

It is Black with the Eddie Bauer Pueblo Gold second color and it was brand new, not a demo.

Sticker was $45850 with the above mentioned options.

Perhaps they screwed up, but a different dealership quoted me $400 more for the same exact vehicle except it did not have the powerfold rear quarter windows. I doubt they screwed up.

That figure makes sense- 'bout right. But it's not $2397 below Friends and Family. Sounds about right on the money, actually. What happened to the $4000 rebate?

Polar when I build it and match it up to a local dealer on ford direct I get a Family Plan Price of $36542, which is $2542 more than what I paid for mine. Thats the figure that is showing up on the ford website,

They list

The MSRP
Total invoice
Employee Price
Cash Back
Ford Family Price

Ford Family Price which is the bottom line said $36542, that figure is $2542 more than what I paid (34,000). Perhaps there are different incentives in different parts of the country so that might be the discrepancy?

That could be. Based on that MSRP, out here, F&F nets at $34649. (after rebates)

Did your buy price include the rebate?

I am confused. ..

Captjoe06,

What was the Family Price (before rebates and all the other crap) of your vehicle? What was listed on the sheet? The A plan price?
Seems to me you are comparing a different invoiced vehicle to yours and there could be price changes/adjustments. . .

MSRP was $45850

Family Plan Price is $36542 quoted for same vehicle on forddirect built same exact way as mine

Price I paid was $34000 +$200 doc fees +$1700 Ma sales tax +$85 plates& title fees.

For the sake of argument forget the sales tax and plate fees, what they are quoting on forddirect for me in my zip code, for the same vehicle is $2542 more than what I paid for mine.

Well, at least we all know where to go buy our new Ford trucks- some dealer in Massachusetts! I can tell you this: the same vehicle at current '05 pricing would have a MSRP of $46680, so that Expedition has been sitting around for some time. It takes Ford awhile to raise the price of a vehicle line $830, which could explain why the dealer was willing to sell it for less than A-Plan.

Thats the wifes car, that baby does not see me in my stinky wharf clothes believe me. The trucks we buy shortly will stink pretty good after about a month I suspect.

I bought an 05 F150 (5.4L, XLT) recently. Here is the breakdown:

MSRP: 28900

Family price: 24175

Rebate: -2500

Home Depot Credit: -500

Trade in: -8500

Amount financed was 15000, with fees and taxes. Not bad...didn't drop a dime of my own money (except trade) for once.
