I just made my first mini batch of bio diesel using new veggie oil. It was VERY easy and came out perfect. I have ben studying this for a week or so now and my next experiment is to make a good mini batch using Waste oil. The quart that is in the pics in the thread below I put into my 6.0, but I had a full tank so it is doubtful that that 1 qt. with 40 gallons dino diesel will be noticable.

Why do we seem to have a rash of OLD DEAD threads doing the
Zombie thing?

We are coming into winter and when you sitting on the side of the road with
stuff that is as thick at peanut butter in the filters your not going to be happy.

Also the HEUI injectors don't play well with any water,

I've had a BFT kit on my truck since 2008 with no problems related to using WVO as fuel. My truck has 203k on the clock and I converted it at 67k.

Dealing with tho used oil takes some level of work and you need to nail down an oil source before making the plunge, but the system works well.

Perry welcome to the page, Looks like you have done some reading prior to posting to dig up that old thread Nice!
Like Tim said nail down your oil supply first. If you have the oil by all means move forward it will save you thousands of $$ on fuel depending how many miles you drive. Myself I never did the dual fuel system ie: vegi/diesel.
I went straight to brewing bio has worked very well for me for the past 7 years or so, from my 7.3 IDI to 7.3 PS to the 6.0
Also visit the Alt fuels page here and read anything and everything by Fabmandelux he is the guru
